Ensuring Public Safety Remains a Top Priority
Jonathan will continue to give our law enforcement officers and firefighters the support and funding they need to keep our neighborhoods safe. Jonathan will continue to fight for sensible policies to the fentanyl crisis in Spokane. As a councilmember, Jonathan has protected neighborhoods in the northeast by stopping harmful addiction and no-barrier shelters from overrunning district 1.
Supporting More Housing in Spokane
As a councilmember, Jonathan has authored, coauthored, and supported policies that have reduced unnecessary city regulations leading to record numbers of market-rate and affordable housing units being developed in Spokane. Jonathan will support the building of a wide variety of housing projects to make it affordable to live in Spokane with an emphasis on homeownership.
Growing Northeast Spokane and Protecting its Economic Future
As a small business owner, Jonathan knows firsthand the impact government has on small businesses. As a councilmember, Jonathan has opposed government overreach in the marketplace such as price caps on businesses. As we look to others with “lived experience” in other areas of government, we should lean heavily into business owners to understand the real-world effects of government regulation on businesses.
Jonathan will always support local businesses and ensure positive growth to continue in Northeast Spokane. The Northeast PDA is a prime example of encouraging development and growth right here in our backyards.
Bringing Back Common Sense
